About Peter Ericson

Photo of Peter EricsonGreetings! My name is Peter Ericson. I live in Lidköping, Sweden, where I was born and raised.

When I’m not operating digital cinema projectors, I handle DCPs and KDMs, decide which trailers to play before each upcoming feature film, build show playlists, perform maintenance on the projectors and servers, and book upcoming films. I couldn’t be happier with my job at Lidköpings Folkets Hus, considering my passion for movies. Moreover, I serve as a board member and the webmaster of the Lidköping Film Society.

I have a bachelor of science degree in computer science from the University of Skövde (my dissertation: “TCPA/TCG and NGSCB: Benefits and Risks for Users”). After receiving my degree, I went on to study theoretical philosophy for two years, primarily philosophy of physics—I’m particularly interested in quantum mechanics and David Bohm’s ideas of implicate and explicate orders and the holomovement—and philosophy of mind, under the auspices of Paavo Pylkkänen at the aforementioned university.

About PEricson.com

On this website, I publish movie reviews in my quest for cinematic enlightenment. After blogging about pretty much anything and everything for a number of years, I decided to revamp the site (primarily content-wise) and focus exclusively on my movie reviews. The revamped site was launched on April 10, 2012.

The website is maintained with Visual Studio Code, paint.net, FileZilla, and ListGarden, with a little help from OneDrive and LastPass. Hosting is provided by the fine folks at Ballou.

PEricson.com is a participant in the Amazon.com and Tradedoubler affiliate advertising programs, which are designed to provide a means for websites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and Tradedoubler’s partners, respectively. I earn a small commission for every purchase made through the affiliate links on this website. Thanks for your support!
