A murder takes place early in the movie, triggering the familial and racial conflicts that are at the center of the story. The movie has a special atmosphere that is created by the combination of beautiful cinematography, eerie music, and great acting. I appreciate that the movie does not spell everything out for the viewer, instead requiring them to read between the lines to understand certain things that are not made explicit.
